Patient Comfort & Safety: Advanced Care at Every Step

Patient safety and comfort are of the utmost importance at Weber Facial Plastic Surgery. Whether you are undergoing injectable treatments, laser resurfacingor surgery in our office surgery suite or facial plastic surgery at our nearby accredited surgery center, we will do our best to ensure that you are well taken care of and made to feel as comfortable as possible at every step of the way. Additionally, we use a number of devices that help to make your treatment more enjoyable and relaxing.

What Is Pronox?

Pronox is a well-known device that delivers a mixture of 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas.” This gas can help reduce patient anxiety and discomfort and may be administered alongside anesthesia. The gas is inhaled through a mouthpiece. All that is needed is a few breaths and the gas begins to take its effect.

Pronox can be employed during major surgical procedures, but it can also be used during minor treatments such as BOTOX injections, LASER skin resurfacingor chemical peels. Anytime a patient feels ill at ease, the Pronox device can help them achieve a calmer, more relaxed state.

What Is the Zimmer Chiller?

The Zimmer Chiller is an advanced cooling system that helps maintain patient comfort during LASER procedures and skin treatments, injections and microneedling. Through the device, air is chilled to -30 degrees Celsius, providing the utmost relief to the epidermis at every phase of treatment.

What Is AccuVein?

AccuVein is an innovative device recently acquired by Weber Facial Plastic Surgery that shows physicians a map of peripheral veins on the surface of the skin without having physical contact with the skin. It is a small handheld device that helps improve accuracy and reduces bruising after procedures, as well as the risk of complications. This is ideal for clients who are undergoing treatments during their lunch break and don’t want to return to work with any skin discoloration.

What Is Hylenex?

Any physician who performs hyaluronic acid filler injections should have Hylenex available, but many do not. Hylenex can be used to shape, refineor reduce collections of filler that look unappealing. In very rare instances, injection of filler into or around important blood vessels can lead to tissue injury. In these rare instances, Hylenex injections are critical to prevent permanent tissue damage. Trust your face to an expert.

What Are Distraction Devices?

It is well known that vibration or tapping of the skin can distract patients during injections, but there is also rich scientific data that shows the amount of perceived pain is reduced by vibration of the skin.

We utilize the “Nuevibe” device to further reduce any injection-related discomfort. Even experienced filler patients appreciate the benefits of distraction.

How Important Are Certifications?

It is critical to ensure that all of your treatments are performed by appropriately trained and certified providers. In the state of Colorado, unfortunately, many injectors and laser technicians have received very little education and training on the treatments that they provide. Further, their supervising physician is often not on site and in most cases, not a “core” physician who is trained in the field of aesthetics.

Dr. Weber is a double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon and a trusted expert who is called on by many companies that manufacture BOTOX and fillers, as well as laser devices. Dr. Weber’s Medical Assistant staff have all been extensively trained by both Dr. Weber and the companies that manufacture the medical devices that are used at Weber Facial Plastic Surgery. Training and experience are an absolute requirement for good and safe aesthetic outcomes.
